2008/09 Midwest Blues membership is now available!

Price: $20 per person or $40 for a family membership.  (Family is two adults and children living at the same address.)

Benefits include:

• Many, many hours of volunteer work as well as running costs to make Chelsea happen in the Midwest and North America...

• Template for you to print your own MWB greeter/business cards

• Voting privileges (for adult members on family membership, limit 2 per family)

• Preferred status for Chelsea FC events in the US where available (such as exhibition games tickets)

But wait, there's more... If you sign up now you are able to purchase one of our world famous Midwest Blues True Blue Celery T-shirts (as worn by Charlie Cooke, Neil Barnett and Chelsea's own "Billy Blood" and the U19 team) for 5$ + P&P (2 for a family membership) while supplies last!

At the risk of repetition, we can't stress enough the importance and value of you signing up for Midwest Blues membership.  While we try to offer "goodies" as listed above, it is important to understand the incredible level of effort that goes on behind the scenes to help grow the Chelsea cause not only in the Midwest but across North America.  This is a very new market for the sport and Chelsea specifically to it is harder for us to get the word out than for the other big clubs.  When you sit down at your local with your new Chelsea friends this season to watch matches, or you join meet-ups, or you attend the tour next summer (fingers crossed), or listening to the podcast, or you chat on the Chelsea in America bulletin board, or you listen to radio shows and watch TV shows about Chelsea please remember that a lot of the reason for those even existing are because of the unpaid and hard work that many people have given their time to contribute to.  So, even if you don't see tangible evidence in your hands, understand that your money goes to very good use, and for the cost of a single very reasonable round at your local you are getting represented to the club you love.

To register you simply need to download the 2008/09 Midwest Blues Membership application, fill it in and mail it with your payment to the address on the form.  If you have access to a scanner we will accept a scanned version of the form as long as it has a signature on it.  And hey, we've made payment even easier this season by including a PayPal option!

True Blue Membership

As some of you are aware we have been talking to Chelsea for the last few years about adjusting their overseas membership scheme to offer better value to our members in North America, and finally we have seen a significant restructure of the package.  While it is not everything we had asked for it is certainly a significant change.  There are further changes being discussed for us but they have not been ratified so we can't share them yet, but you are encouraged to get your name on the Midwest Blues mailing list so that we can let you know as soon as we can.
